On behalf of the trustees of Learning Today Leading Tomorrow (LT2), Dave Johnson, Chair is delighted to announce that Miss Rebecca Butters has accepted the permanent role of Headteacher at Rugby Free Primary School with immediate effect.
As Deputy Headteacher since the opening of the school and Acting Headteacher since June 2018, Miss Butters has proven herself as a supportive and compassionate leader of our school and our employees and is deeply committed to delivering the best education possible for each and every child. She has demonstrated high levels of integrity and skill in evaluating and setting improvement targets across all areas of the school. She has also created an effective, dynamic and highly motivated senior leadership team to implement a new School Development Plan that will ensure RFPS continues to go from strength to strength.
Miss Butters joins Christine Green (Headteacher at RFSS) as a member of the Trust Executive Team and the schools are already benefiting from a number of joint initiatives across the Trust which will develop further over the coming months and years. Furthermore, RFPS has joined the ‘Hillmorton Teaching Schools Alliance’ which is linked to our local consortium of primary schools. This ensures RFPS is well networked with our close neighbours and able to benefit from the wealth of experience that others offer as well as spreading the great work that RFPS is already undertaking.
Brenda Mullen, CEO of LT2 said, “Steph Looney, the chair of local governing body and I are delighted that Rebecca has accepted the role of Headteacher on a permanent basis. She is an empathetic and courageous leader, much admired by the staff team and parents alike. RFPS is in very capable hands”.
